Stretch*d is my first real job out of college! I finally got the opportunity to use what I had learned in college and apply it to real life situations with my clients. I am very fortunate to be a part of an amazing team of practitioners that offers one on one assisted stretching. It has definitely been an exciting and rewardable experience!

Physical Therapy Aide

July 2019 - November 2019

It's all about the people. Ivy Rehab's mission to provide the best rehab outpatient services for those in need of physical therapy and occupational therapy. Within my time here, I worked with various types of specialties. To name a few: vestibular rehabilitation, pediatrics, geriatrics, sport rehab, orthopedic post-op, neurological (LSVT). I learned a lot through interacting, instructing and assisting the patients with their exercise program.

One of the great reasons for attending college in Philly! You're surrounded by golden opportunities for healthcare. Through my university, I was able to find a chance to shadow exercise physiologists and cardiologists in the cardiac rehab department. This opened up doors for me if I ever choose to pursue exercise physiology.

May 2017 - August 2017

A summer filled with experience! Along with my outpatient job, I took on an inpatient facility and was able to understand the difference between outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings. The realization about working inpatient... long hours and different environment. But the main component is about support, making a difference, impacting and improving the quality of life in the people around you.

My first job ever was at an outpatient physical therapy clinic during the summer of my sophomore year while studying to become a physical therapist myself. As an aspiring physical therapist, I was able to truly see the daily task of what being a physical therapist was like. This was my first exposure to IASTM, EPAT, Electrical Stimulation Therapy, AlterG, TRX and Kinesiology Taping.
